Thanks for your patience.

Update – Dumpsters, Curb-side Pick-up, Recycling The province has introduced a curb-side recycling program (https://www.rsc12.ca/wastemanagement/) – the blue bins were dropped off to cottages along Rte 122, which caused confusion as to when the blue bins would be picked up and how this will impact regular garbage pick-up.

Now that summer is in full swing, there is increased input into the dumpsters on LeCoote Drive. The Skiff Lake Cottage Owners’ Association has worked with waste management to meet the needs of cottage owners and these are the results:

• Dumpsters will be emptied twice each week – Monday and Friday. This will be in place until Labour Day

• The dumpster site will be cleaned daily • Curb-side garbage pick-up along Rte 122 will take place as usual on Monday – please have garbage to curb-side by 9 am.

Blue bin pickup along Rte 122 will be on the third Monday of the month. On that day have both the blue bin and garbage at curb-side by 9 am. This will be in place until Labour Day after which only blue bins will be picked up on the third Monday (not garbage).

For those who do not have blue bin service, please take recyclables to the blue bin in Canterbury – cardboard, plastics, and tin o We are working to have blue bins available at the dumpster site on LeCoote Drive and to make blue bins available for cottages not along Rte 122.
