About Us --SLCOA Inc.
The Skiff Lake Cottage Owners Association Inc. is made up of volunteers who oversee and maintain stewardship of the lake and it's residents. It is an incorporated body and has been in existence for a number of years. The SLCOA works closely with residents as well as all levels of government to conserve and enhance the environment of the lake and its surrounding area. Its Mission is to be achieved through the observance of the following goals and objectives and the activities are the following:
To monitor water levels and quality in an ongoing basis (water testing and shoreline patrol)
To promote lake/water and boating safety (through the encouragement of Safe Boating Courses)
To be a source of information for lake residents on all plans, by-laws and government actions affecting the area
To educate lake residents on Clean Drain and Dry, septic maintenance in efforts to encourage a Healthy and Safe Lake.
To maintain membership in NBLA and other organizations dedicated to the conservation of the area
To promote a sense of community among lake residents through social events
To promote fire safety and prevention

WHY SHOULD YOU BE A MEMBER?
Annual Dues are $25 per year. Membership may be sent by eTransfer to
SLCOA depends on it's volunteers to ensure the health of the lake so it may be enjoyed for generations to come. Your dues helps to support our mission of ensuring a healthy and safe lake communications medium such as our website (platform as management is all volunteer), publications to membership and handouts, lake signage etc..membership to NBALA (covers liability insurance of Directors and Water Testing Crew), boat wash station for Clean Drain Dry (lot, water and electricity are donated) and future events such as regattas, Ecco paddles.
